AWS Cloud and AI Day Türkiye Brings the Cloud and AI Ecosystem Together in Istanbul
AWS Cloud and AI Day Türkiye brought technology leaders, developers, businesses and cloud professionals together at Zorlu PSM in Istanbul, highlighting the growing role of artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure and agentic AI in the next phase of digital transformation.

Amazon Web Services hosted AWS Cloud and AI Day Türkiye in Istanbul on September 23, bringing the company's cloud and artificial intelligence ecosystem together for a full day focused on technologies shaping the next generation of enterprise computing. The event took place at Zorlu PSM and featured sessions covering artificial intelligence, data and analytics, cloud migration and modern application development.
The event comes at a time when companies are increasingly moving beyond experimentation with AI and toward integrating the technology into core business processes. AWS positioned agentic AI, data analytics and modern cloud architectures among the central themes of the event, reflecting the growing demand for systems that can move from generating information to performing tasks and supporting operational workflows.
Agentic AI Moves Into Enterprise Technology
One of the strongest themes at AWS Cloud and AI Day Türkiye was the development of agentic AI. Unlike traditional generative AI applications that primarily respond to user prompts, AI agents are designed to reason through tasks, interact with systems and complete processes with greater autonomy.
The event's agenda included sessions focused on AI agents, generative AI and real-world enterprise applications. One session examined how Beko is running production AI agents at scale using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, offering a practical example of how organizations are moving AI from experimentation into operational environments.
That transition is becoming increasingly important for businesses. As AI systems become capable of interacting with enterprise data and software, the challenge is shifting from simply adopting AI models to building the infrastructure, security and workflows required to operate them at scale.
Cloud Infrastructure Becomes an AI Foundation
The growing importance of AI is also changing the role of cloud infrastructure.
Modern AI applications require significant computing power, data infrastructure and scalable architectures. As companies deploy increasingly sophisticated AI systems, cloud platforms are becoming a critical foundation for training, deploying and managing those applications.
AWS Cloud and AI Day Türkiye brought these two areas together through sessions covering cloud migration, data and analytics, modern applications and artificial intelligence. The agenda also included hands-on workshops designed to give participants direct experience with AWS technologies.
The AWS Expo provided another part of the experience, with live demonstrations including the Fragrance Lab and ARI Robot, as well as opportunities to explore AWS Local Zones infrastructure in Istanbul and interact with AWS experts and technology partners.
Turkish Technology Leaders Take the Stage
The event also brought together executives and technology leaders from AWS and the Turkish business ecosystem.
Among the featured speakers were Berrin Ozselcuk, AWS Country Leader Türkiye, Ruhi Sarikaya, VP of Alexa AI at Amazon, Serra Berkol Erciyes, CEO of ForInvest, and Ahmet Duran, Head of the Trumore Digital Experience Platform at Togg.
Their participation reflected the broader scope of the event, which was designed not only for developers and cloud engineers but also for technology leaders and business decision-makers evaluating how AI and cloud technologies can reshape their organizations.
The program also included customer stories and technical sessions intended to connect AWS technologies with practical business applications rather than treating AI as a standalone technology trend.
A Growing Technology Ecosystem in Istanbul
The event brought together AWS customers, engineers, solution architects, technology partners and members of the local developer community. AWS described the event as a platform for hands-on learning, real-world customer stories and direct interaction with experts and partners.
The presence of local technology companies also demonstrated the expanding ecosystem around cloud and AI in Türkiye. Sponsors included Bestcloudfor.me, Kloia, LİMONCLOUD and Onkatec at the Platinum level, alongside Autodesk, All-in Cloud and Clerion as Gold sponsors.
AWS User Group Istanbul also participated in the event through a Community Stage focused on agentic AI, modern application development, cloud security, DevOps and AI agents on AWS.
From Cloud Adoption to AI Transformation
The significance of AWS Cloud and AI Day Türkiye extends beyond the individual technologies presented during the event.
For companies, the next stage of digital transformation increasingly depends on how cloud infrastructure, data platforms and artificial intelligence are combined. AI models require data. AI agents require access to systems. Enterprise applications require scalable infrastructure. Bringing these components together is becoming a central technology challenge for organizations across industries.
AWS Cloud and AI Day Türkiye reflected that shift by placing cloud and AI within the same technology conversation. The event in Istanbul highlighted how the focus of enterprise technology is moving from adopting individual tools toward building integrated systems capable of supporting increasingly autonomous applications.
As AI becomes more deeply embedded in business operations, the competitive question is no longer simply which companies are using artificial intelligence. It is increasingly about how effectively they can build the infrastructure, data architecture and operating models required to turn AI into a scalable part of the business.
